A software tool for evaluation of hardening media’s cooling ability |
The diploma project requires development of an application for processing preliminary taken experimental data and drawing diagrams that show the hardening depth and the cooling rate of hardening media. The application enables setting of coordinate system’s parameters such as time interval and discretization, as well as selection of maximal cooling rate and its’ discretization. An opportunity for drawing several diagrams at a time is envisaged in order to allow visual comparison and evaluation of cooling abilities of the investigated hardening media. After the desired diagrams are complete, the average cooling rate in various time intervals is calculated and finally the maximal cooling rate, the corresponding temperature and the HP criteria are displayed. |
