Mesh Generation from Medical Data and Applying Mesh Cutting
Abstract:
Mesh generation from medical scan data (such as MRI and CT), allowing patients and doctors easily view the scanned areas in 3D without going into surgical procedure. Moreover, with the creation of FEM (Finite Element Method) models, mesh can be deformed realistically. With the mesh it can be easily applied to cutting, deforming and viewing. The cutting operation of 3D surface meshes plays an important role in surgery simulators.
