Project Title:	Development of systems for efficient visual browsing of large image databases (more than one thesis)
Abstract:	Efficient graphical presentation systems for large image databases is important when it is necessary to browse a picture repository to manually find items that cannot be retrieved in other ways (e.g. automatically). There are for example a lot of situations in which the user wants to simply find something that s/he likes. Prerequisites: good programming skills (Java, C++, Flash ActionScript). After investigating the state of the art of image presentation, the theses should follow the following scheme: choose a specific image visualization technique/metaphor Implement and test the system
