Project Title:	E-Learning System for Demonstrations and Exercises in the Subject
Abstract:	Е-Learning systems, performing electronic, remote, computer and other types of education, attract nowadays wide interest in our country, partially due to the successful development of the series of national project in e-Learning area: “Virtual Computing Department “John Atanassov”, “Virtual Computing Faculty …”, etc.. Nevertheless, the popular and accessible e- Learning systems (ClassServer, eLSE, @RCADE and others) put stress on the basic and generalizing moments in the teaching process - preparation and installation of the courses, organization of the test and exam procedures, etc. There are not yet available any specialized tools in e-Learning systems designed for the organization of any exercises with demonstrations, specific for the subject presented. Up to the present moment some satisfactory results are achieved by services from external products, such as MatLab, applied for a subject like “Images Processing and Recognition”. Nevertheless, MatLab does not allow the discovery and/or efficient preparation of all materials needed. On the other hand, there exist and/or are currently developed (for example, within the framework of some students’ projects) of some interesting applications in “C/C++” also – another environment recommended for images processing. Purpose of the diploma work offered: To develop the structure, functionality and user interface of a software system for testing, setup and demonstration of software modules in the area of “Images Processing and Recognition”. The system provides appropriate tools (software interface, a software library, shared resources, etc.) for adding some new course modules (developed in connection with the projects offered on the topic). To demonstrate the system functionality with the help of two course modules, one of them - directly applied, the other one – prepared after selection from the suggested list with project topics in an “Images Processing and Recognition” course.
