Project Title:	External Sorting on Flash
Abstract:	This topic deals with the evaluation of external (secondary memory) sorting algorithms for flash media. Flash media is utilized in ever growing number mobile and sensing devices and is characterized by an asymmetric I/O cost. The students will be given an array of external sorting algorithms that need to be implemented and evaluated utilizing an array of different datasets. The end goal will be to implement a sorting library that can be statically or dynamically linked to a C or C++ implementation. Prior knowledge required: C and C++, Objective-C and JAVA
